Wally doesn’t just take a folder full of wallpaper pics and rotate them (although it can, if your needs are simple). Wally pulls wallpapers from local/network folders, remote FTP folders, and photo sharing services like Flickr, Photobucket, Picasa, Panoramio, and more. You can specify all sorts of details like how quickly the wallpapers rotate, how it should center, scale, rotate, or apply borders to photos, and even configure disk storage limits and history length. On top of all that Wally supports modules. If a new photo/wallpaper service comes along next month, all it takes to add that service to Wally is the addition of a simple module.
Wally is open source and available for Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux. Hit up the link below to grab a copy. Have a favorite wallpaper application or source? Let’s hear about it in the comments.
